Q:Hello darling, let me waggle my eyebrows at you. *waggle waggle*
I regret nothing.
Drop me a message to say hi and how you’re doing
if we have spoken before
or if we haven’t
Everyone is getting along so nicely~
You are the best at naming things.
You have no idea.
I spent literally 40 minutes trying to decide on names for them, watching how they move than what they do. Originally Peony was going to be Jade, but he enjoyed the company of others far too much for that. For the tiniest of the snails I was also considering the name Ion, but he kept pestering the others, so I settled for Saphir.
But the names of Miguel and Tulio is even more carefully thought-out. I was considering “Lord Helix” because of Twitch Plays Pokemon, since the latin name of the species is Helix Aspersa, but I thought that was too obvious. Still I wanted my snails to be named after some sort of god. I started thinking of the 12 Greek gods but then suddenly… this popped into mind… And it all made sense.
Meet Miguel, Tulio, Peony, and Saphir. My new pet snails. Look at the tiny little babies :3
The one on my finger is Miguel. Second photo (on the plastic) is Saphir, and the one on the right is Peony. The bottom two are Miguel and Tulio. They are very friendly. Saphir is the smallest and leanest one of them all. Peony eats and sleeps a lot. Miguel loves to explore. Tulio is often quite done with Miguel and tries to get away.
I look forward to them growing up!
